The Detroit Pistons have secured a new direct-to-consumer streaming partnership with DAZN for the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season. This move gives fans a fresh way to watch games beyond the team's free local television broadcasts. The announcement comes as the team prepares for a new chapter following a tough playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Subscriptions for the service are available now at DAZN.com/Pistons. Pricing starts at $19.99 per month. Fans can also opt for a full season pass priced at $119.99. For additional perks like a one-time 15% discount on official team merchandise, ultimate packages are offered at $139.99 per season or $24.99 monthly.

Pistons president of business operations Melanie Harris highlighted the partnership's goal. "We’re pleased to announce DAZN as our direct-to-consumer digital streaming partner, expanding the way fans can experience game broadcasts and connect with Pistons Basketball," Harris said in a press release. She noted the deal, combined with free over-the-air games, provides greater flexibility for fans across the region.

This streaming agreement complements a multi-year deal the Pistons finalized with Scripps Sports back in May. Starting with the 2026-27 preseason, games will air for free on WYMD-TV (Channel 20) in the Detroit market. It's a significant shift.

The dual approach of free local TV and a paid streaming option aims to cover all fan preferences. Whether you want to catch the game on a traditional antenna or stream it on a device, the Pistons organization is trying to make it accessible.

While the front office works on distribution, the team is coming off a challenging postseason. The playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers was a hard-fought battle.

Other results from that series were Cleveland Cavaliers 94-115 Detroit Pistons on May 15, Detroit Pistons 113-117 Cleveland Cavaliers on May 14, Cleveland Cavaliers 112-103 Detroit Pistons on May 12, and Cleveland Cavaliers 116-109 Detroit Pistons on May 9. This playoff run provides important context as the team builds for the future and connects with its fanbase through new platforms.

Looking ahead, the focus for the basketball side will be on improvement. The team's full schedule for the 2026-27 campaign will be available on our schedule page when released. The new broadcast and streaming setup ensures that wherever the Pistons' journey goes next, their supporters will have more ways than ever to follow every possession, every Cade Cunningham assist, and every defensive stop.
