Why Henderson Could Be the Right Fit
The Pistons need a difference-making guard to play alongside Cade Cunningham. Jaden Ivey didn’t work out, but Scoot Henderson’s potential could fill that role. The former No. 3 pick showed promise with 14.0 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game as a rookie. His 2025-26 season was cut short to just 30 games, but he averaged 14.2 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 41.8% from the field and 35.2% from three.

Portland’s backcourt is crowded with Jrue Holiday, Damian Lillard, and Ja Morant. Henderson’s playing time could be limited, making him a prime trade candidate. The Blazers aren’t actively shopping him, but their offseason moves suggest a trade could happen soon.
